چکیده
A 32-year-old woman was involved in an automobile accident, during which she hit the left frontal region of her head. Skull fi lms revealed an asymptomatic lytic lesion in the general region of the trauma (figs. 1 A and 1 B) . There was no external evidence of this lesion on physical examination. Neurologic examination was unremarkable and a bone scan was normal. A CT scan showed a lowdensity lesion between the outer and inner tables of the skull without extension in either direction (fig. 1 C). The density of the lesion was -40 H. At surgery, a wide streak of yellow discoloration of the frontal bone was noted after elevation of the periosteum. This extended far beyond the confines of the lytic skull lesion and involved both the inner and outer tables . The dura was not involved. Upon microscopic exam i-

Intraosseous Lipoma of Calcaneus, Rare Cause of Chronic Calcaneal Pain: A Case Report
Intraosseous lipoma is a rare, benign primary tumor occurring in the bone. Herein, we reported a 45-year-old manwith chronic right posterior heel pain. In this study, the man was treated conservatively due to plantar fasciitis. Duringa one-month follow-up visit, the patient had no symptoms of relief in the right heel pain. Initially, calcaneal X-raywas taken, which revealed an...
متن کاملIntramuscular Lipoma of the Thenar: A Rare Case
Lipomas are the most common benign mesenchymal tumors. They are located either subcutaneously or under the investing fascia in intramuscular or intermuscular regions. The reported frequency of intramuscular lipomas among all benign adipocytic tumors is 1.0%–5.0% and for intermuscular lipomas is 0.3%–1.9%. The frequency of these lesions is the same in all age groups, but in adults deep seated-...
متن کاملBilateral Intraosseous Tumor of the Calcaneus with Imaging-Pathologic Discordance A Case Report and Literatures Review
A case of bilateral intraosseous tumor of the calcaneus with different MRI imaging is presented. On the left, radiological findings suggest intraosseous lipoma, but on the right-sided lesion, imaging studies were not convincing. The microscopic report showed foreign body granulomatous reaction, a rare clinical pathological discordant.
متن کاملAdenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Buccal Mucosa with Rare Delayed Frontal Bone Metastasis: A Case Report
Adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC) is a malignant neoplasm, which accounts for 5-10% of all salivary gland tumors (1). About 50% of these tumors originate from intraoral minor salivary glands usually in the hard palate (1). Three clinically obvious characteristics of AdCC include slow growth rate, perineural invasion and high incidence of distant metastasis (1). The most commonly-affected sites of...
متن کاملPost-traumatic pseudolipoma of the forehead.
A forehead lipoma is a rare finding in a child, and one that penetrates the underlying layers of muscle and bone to attach to dura has not previously been reported. Two such cases, both in children who underwent uneventful deliveries aided by forceps, are presented. Both lesions were present at birth and, based on clinical findings, were originally thought to be dermoid cysts. Dermoid cysts cou...
